The Croozer Kid is appropriately named as a carrier with three possibilities for transporting one or two children. It is a practical 3-in-1 complete package parents can use in three modes – as a bicycle trailer, stroller or baby jogger.
The design is sleek, and transformation from one form to the other is quick and easy, with all the conversion kits included in your purchase – not so, you will find with with many competing convertible bike trailers like the Baby Jogger POD.
The low center of gravity and large pneumatic tires made it stable and easy to push or tow, and children are well protected in the Chassis surrounded by robust aluminum bumpers. The handlebar also doubles as a roll bar to provide addition safety for kids in the trailer.
The Cabin compartment in either the single or double carrier is very spacious with well-padded sling seats for comfortable rides for the passengers.
You can use the Croozer Kid for babies from very young age with the optional Infant Sling Seat.
Active parents with a love for the outdoors will love this all-in-one Croozer Designs Child Bicycle Trailer. Tow it with a bike to transport your kids to school, and in the jogger mode it becomes a rugged all terrain jogging stroller for keen jogger moms and dads, or transform it to a regular buggy for everyday use to the park, running errands and strolling your neighborhood.

Compact, Easy to Fold & Carry?
The Croozer Kid uses patented quick folding system to collapse the carrier into a compact size for transportation and storage. The folding is easy, by releasing two catches on the frame inside the cargo area, and pushing inward to collapse the whole frame.
The wheels and handle can be removed to fold the Croozer Kid Chassis even smaller. Bear in mind that though the Kid Bike Trailer folds fairly flat, it still takes a bit of space as you would expect from any sturdy Bicycle Trailer. All the removable parts – wheels, hitch arm, handlebar, flag – can be placed inside the Croozer Kid, and held secure with the safety strap.
Make sure you empty all loads, including your little ones before folding the Croozer Kid carrier!
When folded, with all the bits inside the Chassis, the Croozer kid for 1 measures 104,5 x 69 x 27,5 cm in Length, Width, and Height respectively, while the Croozer kid for 2 folded measurement is 104,5 x 86,5 x 27,5 cm. This will give you an idea of space you need in the trunk of your car if you need to go camping or any other outdoor adventure with the Croozer Kid. The double trailer takes about 17cm more storage space than the single.
A Croozer Well Equipped with Baby Safety Features
The Croozer Kid, either for 1 or 2 has excellent safety provisions for children riding in it. This high level of safety is achieved through a design that incorporates a low center of gravity for good balance. Richly padded five-point safety harnesses keeps children fastened and secure inside the carriage, while a safety flag, cover for insect and weather protection adds more protection for occupants of the Bike Trailer.
There is also a meshed protection against insets and wind. For rain protection, this three in one comes with a Croozer Weather Cover. Babies aged three months to 18 months can get a comfortable ride, thanks to the Croozer Bike Child Trailer Seat Supporter that can be purchased separately.
When you use the Croozer Kid in Bicycle Trailer mode and ride on public roads, you will be competing with other road users on cars, trucks, motorcycle and more. This has been taken into consideration in the design of the trailer to make it highly visible to other road users and keep your kids safe.
The safety flag provided is very visible and must always be attached when on the road. There are reflectors on the wheels and the rear of the carriage that make the trailer highly visible to other road users in low lights.
In the stroller and jogger modes, a safety wrist strap is provided that you should fasten securely around your wrist at all times to ensure the Croozer child carrier does not roll away with your kid if you ever trip or fall. This is particularly important when jogging down slopes, where the Croozer Kid will pick up speed. Other safety features on the Croozer Design 3-in-1 Bike Trailer are:
- High strength tubular frame that make the Trailer rugged
- Front and rear bumpers that guard occupants against impacts
- The handlebar doubles as additional rollover guard around the Chassis when used as bicycle trailer
I cannot over emphasis the importance of safety when transporting children in a Bike Trailer, and Croozer Design has gone to great length to cover all aspects of baby safety on the Croozer Kid for 1 or 2.
Your Baby Comfort on a Croozer Kid
The seats are very spacious, with separate seat for each child on the Croozer Trailer for 2, unlike bench seats you will find in other trailers that do not give children their own space, or as well padded and comfortable as you find in this carrier.
Even if you are not yet expecting a second child soon, it is a good decision to go for the double Bike trailer. Parents love the roomy space it provides, and your kid will enjoy inviting the best friend for a ride and good company.
The seats are slung, which compensate for lack of suspension on the 3-in-1 stroller/jogger /bike trailer, and actually does a good job at cushioning kids from the shocks over bumps on rough and uneven surfaces.
There is also a head-rest for each seat which provide additional support and comfort for occupants.
How Easy to Push in Stroller or Jogger Mode?
Conversion to a stroller is with included smaller 8 inch swivel Buggy wheel that turns easily at corners. The wheel though very effective at turning corners needed for everyday use, it is half the size of the fixed jogging wheel, and looks rather small in comparison. The jogging conversion wheel is 16 inch spoke wheels that is fixed, and gives better control and tracking when jogging or running with the Croozer Kid in the jogger mode.
In the jogging mode, the fixed front wheel combined with the larger rear wheels transforms the Croozer Kid to an all-terrain jogging stroller that cover a lot of grounds very fast, assisted with air filled tires that make it easy to push. The jogger is very stable, and turns surprisingly very easy by slightly lifting the front, and turning the carrier on the rear wheels.
The handlebar is well padded for firm grip and curved upwards so it is easy to grab and hold. The large pneumatic tires roll over any surface smoothly and with little effort required from you to push the jogger.
The swivel Buggy wheel though look tinny in comparison to the rear and jogger wheels; it performs very well at turning corners and maneuvering crowded places which is what you would like to have in a regular stroller for running daily errands with your kid.
Tires, Wheels and Croozer Kid Brake System
Except the Buggy wheel, all the tires are air-filled – large 20 inch spoke wheels at the rear, and 16 inch spoked jogger wheel, which are great on the road, and off road when jogging. The tires provide good traction on surfaces, bumpy or smooth, and help propel the Croozer forward as you pull or push the carrier.
Brakes shoes, the type you would find on bicycles are used on the Croozer Kid. The parking brake is engaged by pushing forward a lever at the side of the Chassis until both brake shoes are pressing against the tires. To release the brake, pull the lever back – as far back as it will go.
The brake shoes should not be touching the tires when correctly disengaged. Many parents that ride bicycles will be very familiar with this shoe braking system as they are very similar, and equally effective as parking brake.
This Croozer Designs Kid bike trailer lacks a handbrake that would have been very desirable for better control when used in the jogging mode, particularly for going down hill where strollers pick up speed without pushing.
Size, Weight and Capacity of Croozer Kid for 1 and 2
The open dimensions of the Chassis for the two Kids carrier is just about the same with one kid carriage in all areas except the width that is 5.5 inches wider. It is 1.5 inches longer, and they are both the same height. So if you are looking to buy the 3-in-1 trailer for one Kid, thinking it will be much more compact, you will not be saving very much in space.
I would rather go for the Croozer for 2 Kids even when buying for one child. It offers more space, gives your child opportunity to ride together with a friend, and is good investment for future arrival of a sibling in the family.

The single Trailer has a child weight limit of 33 lbs (15 kg), while the recommended passenger weight limit for the double is two kids weighing 33 lbs (15 kg) each, or 66 lbs (30 kg) together.
The rear cargo compartment is spacious and will take up to 11 lbs (5 kg) of your kid’s stuff, or groceries when you go shopping with the trailer. You can also increase the cargo space, if you purchase the optional Handlebar Console that can take up to 4.4 lbs (2 kg) of your personal items when used as a jogging stroller or buggy.
Available Styles, Designs and Color of Croozer Kid
You can buy this 3-in-1 stroller, jogger and bicycle trailer either in a single size that is suitable to carry just one kid, or you can choose to go for the Croozer Kid for 2 with Chassis big enough to carry two children.
The single child carrier comes in a combination of Blue/Grey/Black, and you will get the double carrier in a Green/Grey/Black color combination. The bike trailer does not really provide any choice for colors, as you get just one pick whichever carrier you decide to buy. I think however, the available color is a good balance in what will appeal to many parents.
The carrier is available to buy in either the single or double seater. Whichever you decide to purchase, these are the colors available at the time of this review.

Infant Car Seat Compatible?
The Croozer all-in-one Bicycle trailer is not designed to be used with infant car seats as you would find in traditional Strollers, Baby Joggers and Travel Systems. However, the optional Infant Sling Seat can be used for babies from 4 weeks old, and is the closest you get to an Infant Car Seat for newborns on the Croozer Kid.
Warranty and What’s included
The Warranty
Croozer Design is very proud of the quality of their products and offer a lifetime limited warranty on the frame of the stroller. Limitation is for normal use, and does not cover abuse and willful damage. The fabric and hitch have one year warranty from the date of delivery to the first purchaser.
The wheels and tires are not covered under the under warranty, as these are parts that would wear over time under normal use.
What Do you Get with Your Purchase?
When you buy a Croozer Kid for 1 or 2, you will get all the kits required to use the Chassis as bike trailer, stroller, or jogging stroller, unlike other 3-in-1 bicycle trailers like the Baby Jogger POD where all the conversion kits are sold separately – adding to the overall cost.

How Much Should You Pay for the Croozer Kid 1 or 2 Seater
You probably know so far that I think the Croozer Kid for 2 is a better investment, even if you are currently shopping for a one child carrier. And what if I tell you that the difference in the manufacture’s recommended retail price between the one and two seater is only $25? The list price for the single 3-in-1 trailer is $475, and the double $500.
But of course I do not expect you to purchase the bike trailer at the list price. That would not be spending money wisely, or getting good value for your hard earned cash.
The best places to get a good deal on the Croozer Kid trailer are online stores, where there are regularly discounted.
As I write this review, a quick look on Amazon show the Croozer Kid for one is discounted for about 24%, and the carrier for 2 kids is going at a discount of 16% with free shipping thrown in on the purchase. This is the type of deals you can get if you shop from reputable online stores like Amazon.
Any Complaints from Parents?
One user who couldn’t get the sun canopy in the US feels frustrated at not being able to use the stroller in sunny daytime. Another user found the lime green color a little too loud.
Well, I warned there isn’t much choice of colors, but I don’t think this is a deal breaker if you really want a quality jogger bike trailer like the Croozer Design.
Pros and Cons
Pros:

- Optional infant sling add-on extends the use of the Croozer Kid to very young babies – from 4 weeks old.
- The dual parking brakes are spring-loaded and very effective.
- It attaches securely to any adult bike with the included hitch arm and the two-part axle attachment.
- Low gravity design of the Croozer Kid gives makes it very stable and well balanced.
- The weather cover protects occupants from rain and sun, and mesh sides allows good air circulation inside the carriage.
Cons
- The handlebar is not adjustable to suit parents tall and short parents that will need to hold the handle at different heights when pushing in the stroller or jogger mode.
- It is bigger than what I may call a standard jogging stroller like the BOB Revolution, but remember this is also a bike trailer. It is also bigger when folded, so expect it to take a bit of space in the trunk of your car. I have provided a comprehensive dimensions of the Croozer Kid to help get an idea of the size.
- Parents would love to have more choice of colors available to purchase.

Conclusion and My Recommendation
My love for the Croozer Kid is not just the sleek look and rugged built, parents get all they need to convert the carriage as a truly 3-in-1, altogether trailer/stroller/jogger. You would have to buy the conversion kits separately with other brands that compete with the Croozer Kid, and this can considerably increase the cost.
My preference is the double seater for two kids. Even if you are not yet planning for a second child, it offers more space for a child, gives the opportunity for your child to ride with a playmate – which can be fun and great company. It will also save you money buying another trailer if there is an addition to the family sooner than you planned!
Accessories Available for the Croozer Kid 3-in-1 Bicycle Trailer
When you buy a Croozer Kid double or singer child carrier, it is reassuring that all the conversion kits you need for a bike trailer, stroller or jogger are included in the purchase. There are however, optional accessories that will enhance children and your enjoyment of the 3-in-1 carrier that have to be purchased separately.
My favorite accessories are the parent consoles and Sling seat for their immediate usefulness. To help you decide which accessory will be useful for your Croozer Kid carrier, here are my short reviews of what you can purchase.
Croozer Infant Sling Seat
If you are a parent with a very young child and hesitant that the Croozer Kid may not be suitable for the age, the Infant Sling is what you need.
It can be used for children at least four weeks old, and provide cushioning support just like a hammock. The padded 3 point safety seatbelts secures babies in the sling. It is not recommended though in the cycling mode of Croozer Kid.
This infant sling will cost you about $50 extra, but can be purchased far cheaper on promos I have seen online in shops like Amazon.
Croozer Designs Bicycle Trailer Hitch
The Croozer Kid is one of the few 3-in-1 bicycle trailer that comes with the complete conversion kits straight out the box, which include a Bicycle Hitch. This optional accessory is really for those that will like to tow the trailer on a second bicycle.
The Trailer Hitch can be connected semi-permanently to an additional bike in the house so it is ready for use whenever you need to tow the trailer on with the second bike – without removing the hitch the Croozer came with from the first bike.
It is compatible with both nut and quick release bike rear axles. The hitch is made of durable welded metal with rust and corrosion resistant coating. The list price is $22, but as I always advise, shop around online and you can get the hitch a lot cheaper.
Croozer Designs Child Seat Supporter
For extra comfort for children on a bike trailer carrier, this Croozer Kid Seat Supporter is what you need. It provides additional neck and body support for babies and little toddlers riding on bike trailer carriers.
It uses existing seat harness in the Croozer Chassis and the horseshoe shaped head pad is adjustable to provide very good support for children as they grow.
This Croozer Kid Seat Supporter can also be used with popular child carriers like the Chariot Bike Trailers. It is machine washable so easy to clean and keep hygienic for the tender skin of your baby.
The Seat Support will cost you about $44 on top of the purchase price of the Croozer Kid Trailer, but it is money well spent to make your child more comfortable when strolling and jogging. It is not recommended for use in the bike trailer mode.
You can buy it cheaper with free shipping from Amazon. I checked while writing this review.
Croozer Handlebar Console for Croozer Kid for 2 Bike Trailer
I highly recommend this Handlebar Parent console to help you organize and store your personal stuff and drink for re-hydrating while on a long stroll or jogging with the Croozer Kid.
The console has deep cup holders, a large middle pocket with zipper to store items like key, media player, and phone securely. There is a hole to feed earphone wires through.
Priced at $25, but available for about $20 with free shipping on Amazon at the time of this review.
