Baby Safety Features
The design of the 5 point safety harness in the Baby Trend Expedition Double Jogging Stroller provides parents the assurance that their baby is safe the stroller. Once children are strapped in, moderate pressure is required to press and release the clips that will open the 5 point harness. This measure prevents accidental release of the safety harness by children while their parents are jogging.
The Baby Trend Expedition is equipped with a wrist strap that parents can use to attach the jogger to either wrist. The other end of the strap is attached to the lower rear frame and this prevents the jogging stroller from rolling away from parents if they trip or fall to the ground while jogging or running.
The front wheel must be locked in the straight position when jogging.
The brake on the Baby Trend Expedition is foot activated and is engaged by applying light downward pressure on the brake lever located on each rear wheel. It firmly keeps the Baby Trend Expedition stationary when you come to a stop.

Pros and Cons

Pros:
Compact, lots of baby comfort features, sturdy and plenty of space, the Baby Trend Expedition can be purchased for under $200 and is highly recommended by parents who have used it as very good value for money.
It is constructed with light weight steel frame and easy to fold and carry. Parents will not struggle to handle the stroller.
Each seat has a side mesh pocket within easy reach of children for snacks that will keep them quiet, while they enjoy the gentle music from the inbuilt MP3 speakers
Cons

Some parents have complained that the wheel wobbles and can come off. They are designed to be easily removed for storage, and without the wheel, the stroller folds really compact for travelling with cars with small trunks. I suspect parents that experienced this problem may not be fixing the wheels correctly. Other parents noted the complaint but remarked that wheels on their Baby Trend Expedition jogging stroller are fine.

the older model baby trend expedition double stroller I have has a fixed wheel and is driving me NUTS!! I read somewhere you can unlock it to become a swivel wheel…how??? Please help!!
Hi Amanda,
I don’t see how you can change the fixed wheel baby trend expedition double stroller to a swivel wheel. The front wheel of the swivel stroller can be locked to convert to a fixed wheel stroller, but not the other way round. Fixed wheel baby joggers are not normally changeable to swivel wheel without a stroller conversion kit by the manufacturer, and I am not aware of any kit for the older Baby Trend Fixed wheel double jogger.
Jeff
I have and infant on one side and a 3yr old on the other and just pumped the tires up and anytime I try to run the infants side wheel starts bouncing, why could that be??
Hi Kristina,
It’s difficult to suggest a specific reason why the wheel on the infant’s side will start bouncing without examining if your stroller has developed some mechanical fault. Assuming the stroller has no fault, the cause could be an unequal weight distribution between the 3yr old and the infant side of the stroller.
I hope that helps.
Best Regards
Jeff
