Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller Review

Check Today's PriceChoosing a versatile and feature rich stroller for babies and infant can be daunting with so many reviews to sift through, but not after you have read my review of the great features of Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller. Designed for the busy city parents with newborns, infants and toddlers to look after, it is a stroller for running errands with your baby from birth. Walking the parks, malls or strolling the beach is so much fun with the stroller. Unlike other strollers, the Jeep Urban Terrain stroller accommodates a large choice of infant car seats without the need for an extra adapter.

For babies too young to support their head unassisted, use an infant car seat, or recline the stroller seat to comfortably accommodate the baby. Your child can also be securely strapped in with a 5 point adjustable safety harness.

As you stroll the neighbourhood and walk your favorite park, take along an MP3 player or iPod to entertain your child with hours of music that pour out of the iBaby sound system. A toy steering tray positioned within easy reach keeps babies engaged so they hardly get bored when you are out and about.

The Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller is easy to fold with a handed-fold design that makes carrying a baby and handling the stroller easier for parents, while inflatable tires and swivel front wheel provide a smooth ride for babies.

Jeep Urban Terrain Stroller is rugged, suitable for everyday use, but it is not intended to be used as a jogging stroller as some online reviews will have you believe. If you are a keen jogger or runner, I would recommend the Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller with most of the features you will find in the Urban Terrain stroller.

So why I am doing the review? Priced at under $200, and with all the goodies I have seen on the stroller, it is a dammed good value for money in my opinion. I just do not want parents who love their walks, leisurely strolls, and occasional gentle jogs with their kids, missing out on the Jeep Urban Terrain Stroller as a choice in their buying decision.

How Easy to Fold & Carry the Stroller?

It only takes one hand to fold the stroller in a quick step, and you can stand it unsupported for easy storage and transportation when folded. If your child is the type that likes clinging to mum or dad all the time, this is a useful design that free up your other hand to hold the baby while getting the stroller ready. The stroller weighs 30 lbs, and some parents may find it heavy to carry in and out of the trunk of their car.

Features to Keep Your Baby Safe on the Stroller

A 5 point padded safety harness is available to secure your baby on the stroller, and it is adjustable to match and give growing babies a comfy fit. If you will be using an infant car seat for newborns, there is a fully adjustable restraining belt that clips tightly to the top of the car seat to hold it firm for added safety.

It is good to know that the Jeep Liberty Urban stroller is certified by the Juvenile Products Manufacturer’s Association (JPMA) for satisfying all safety standards required in a baby product.

Size and weight Capacity for Newborns and Toddlers

Parents can this Jeep stroller for babies from birth till they are up to 40 lbs in weight. Be aware that it is advised to attach an infant car seat to any stroller if using it for a newborn baby. Infant car seats offer superior protection and cushion for the tender body of very young babies, particularly when they are not yet able to hold their heads upright without support.

Other dimensions of the stroller are:

Stroller Weight: 30 lbs

Overall Measurement unfolded: 41.5 inches high x 25.24 inches wide x 46.25 inches long

12 inch inflatable tires, combined with a swivelling front wheel makes the stroller very agile and manoeuvrable, that it so easy to push over rough and smooth surfaces, and it turns effortlessly at tight corners that are common in urban dwellings. When you venture into bumpy terrains or gravel paths, the front wheel can be locked for greater stability and tracking on rough surfaces.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

At under $200, Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller is loaded with parent and baby friendly features you will not find in far more expensive strollers. Some have even purchased it not knowing it is not intended for jogging, but were still happy with the stroller. The sound system that entertains parents and baby, toy tray that engages the baby, and ample storage that takes all parents throw at the stroller are some of the things you will like about this jogger looking stroller.

As one that is always on the lookout for a good value for money, I like all the quality features on the Jeep Liberty stroller and at a price many parents will find affordable compared with more expensive strollers like BOB and the Baby Jogger.
Cons

The handlebar though at the right height of 41.5 inches for most people, tall parents like me with long strikes may find that it does not stretch far enough from the rear undercarriage. This could result in striking the back of the stroller when walking at a fast pace. If you have an issue like this with stroller, a handlebar extender such as the Englacha Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar will stop you hurting your toes, and it offers the additional benefit of pushing the Jeep Liberty Limited Urban Terrain Stroller with one hand.

For a versatile stroller that is easily convertible to baby travel system, ideal for everyday strolling, fast walks or gentle jog, I would join many parents that love the Jeep Liberty and recommend it as good value for your money stroller.
