Tall parents that have used a jogging stroller know that height comes at a price when it comes to pushing a stroller.
Some of the burning issues for tall jogger Moms and Dads are – arching and bending over to hold the handlebar, kicking their toes at the undercarriage or bottom of a stroller because there isn’t enough room for long strides, and back pains as a result of prolong use of strollers in uncomfortable pushing postures.
My review of Jogging Stroller for Tall Parents addressed these problems. In the review, I looked at design issues in some of the top brand jogging strollers, and picked the stroller I think is best suited for tall parents.
But the solution is not only in choosing a suitable stroller if you are a tall person, or have long strides. What if the one you have already purchased is causing you pains? And here is where I see great benefits for a Jogging Stroller Handle Extender.
Handle extender is not just for joggers, it can be used for all strollers to help tall people with proper postures that will prevent slouching, which often results in back pain after prolonged use. Extending the handlebar will also increase how far back you are from the rear of a stroller, so the long strides of a tall parent will not kick the rear of a jogging stroller.
Another use of an extension for the handlebar is when mum is pregnant, and the toddler has not outgrown the use of a stroller. As the pregnancy progresses and tummy protrudes, there is little space between mum and stroller, which can be very uncomfortable.
There are many designs of handle extender for strollers. Some can be used on all standard handles, while others are designed for specific brands and models of strollers. You will also find handle extensions that can only be used for umbrella strollers.
Extenders designed specifically for jogging stroller handles are not common, and in my first research, the Easy Stroll One Handed Stroller Grip was my top choice. But shortly after, the product was discontinued.
I have however found stroller handlebar extender that is easier install, and more versatile to use than the Easy Stroll. My new #1 is the Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar made by Englacha. It can be used on any stroller, pram or buggy – extending the walking space behind a stroller by 12 – 15cm.
I hope the Cozy Stroll handle Extension will help you and other parents achieve a comfortable posture while pushing a stroller.
#1 Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar
The Cozy Stroll, though new at the time of this review, it is becoming very popular with parents that have been waiting for a good stroller handle extender to replace the Easy Stroll.
It is a lightweight, and can be used with one hand – leaving the other hand free to do other task when pushing a stroller.
Cozy Stroll is a universal stroller handle extender that can be used on umbrella, curved, and straight stroller handles.
Key Features of Cozy Stroll Stroller Handle Extender

My Recommendation:
Some parents have used ingenuous solutions like giving little pushes ahead and catching up with the stroller, using bicycle handle extensions, while others at the extreme have fabricated their on handle extensions. The first solution may be safe if you are jogging on a quiet straight track, with the safety harness attached. However, the safety of your child is paramount and I would not recommended using any device that is not specifically designed for extending the handle of a stroller

The Cozy Stroll jogging stroller handlebar extender on can be purchased for about $35, which is not a huge price to save you from sore toes or the back pains you may suffer from poor postures pushing a baby jogger, or any stroller.
Englacha Cozy Stroll Stroller Handle Extender
Cozy Stroll is available only in black. It can be used to increase the length of any stroller handle – umbrella or curved handlebars.
Topic: Cozy Stroller Handlebar Extender
I am a 6’6″ dad of identical twin girls and we have a twin side by side bob stroller. We have done 5Ks in the past and after each one my back is killing me from being hunched over. Does this extender mount to the straight push bar of a Bob twin stroller to allow me to have a taller grip height than the standard bar? I ask because your article states it’s designed to attach to OM curved or umbrella handle bars.
Cheers
Tyler
Hi Tyler,
The Englacha Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar can be mounted on straight, curved and umbrella stroller handles. The mount is universal, and is adjusted to fit the design of a stroller handle. Extra length of the handle and space behind the stroller can be gained for very tall parents like you by fitting the extension bar so it is raised more than shown in the pictures.

This is wonderful!! I’m 6’0 and just discovered the hard way that my jogging stroller is too short. If I try to push it one handed, it tends to veer off course. According to your article, this handle could be the solution to a healthier stride! It wasn’t yet reviewed on Amazon so I was cautiously optimistic.
Hi Lauren,
The Englacha Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar has just been introduced by Amazon, which is why it has not been reviewed by customers. It has been purchased by parents with long strides like you, but as you can see from the present long delivery time, most buyers are still possibly waiting for Amazon to deliver the product.
Easy Stroll was a similar product that is now discontinued. Englacha Cozy Stroll handlebar extension is however more versatile, easier to use, and I am confident it will help most parents with long strides correct their postures when pushing a stroller.

I have put in my order and I’m more than willing to wait the one to two months it could take. I’m floored there’s not a bigger market for it! Thank you again for this great article.
Good choice Lauren. I am 6 ft 2 inches and know how it feels pushing a stroller with low handlebar – absolute back killer.
Enjoy the stroller handle extender when it arrives, and hopefully be one of the first to leave a review. Looking forward to read your feedback.

Does this extender actually make the stroller handle taller or just give extended distance behind the stroller? I’m looking to add an extender to our dog stroller to give me a higher grip and not make me hunch over to push my senior dogs.
Hi Theresa,
The Englacha Cozy Stroll Handle Extension bar can also increase the height of the stroller handlebar. How much height increase will depend on the angle at which you attach the the extender to the handlebar.
Jeff
Do any of these fit a double umbrella stroller?
Thx
Hi Sara,
The Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar is a very versatile handlebar extender that can be fitted on any umbrella stroller. You can take a look at how it is used on the umbrella stroller on the 3rd image in the review.

I need to have a shorter bar on my joovy double stroller, as I’m not quite 5′.
Would this extender fit on a stroller that has one
Handlebar Rio give me less height?
Hi Lilyen,
Yes, the Cozy Stroll Handle Extension Bar fits strollers with one handlebar, and you can lower it below the stroller handlebar, which provides you a lower pushing height. You can see these lower pushing height illustrated in some of the pictures in the review.
Hope this helps.

Hi I am looking to purchase this bar extender for my city select double buggy. I am a childminder and have just started using an easy x rider (seated buggy board) as an additional seat but I am finding i am over stretching or walking to one side. Do you think the bar extender will allow me to walk directly behind the buggy board seat and do you think it will be secure and strong enough for me to push with the same ease as the original bar with three children attached???? Many Thanks, Hannah.
Hi Hannah,
I think the Handlebar Extender will work well with the Baby Jogger City Select when a rider board is attached. The City Select has the profile of a single stroller and is configured as an inline double stroller with additional seat, and this configuration suits fitting the handlebar extender on the stroller.
I would not recommend the handlebar extender on a double side by side stroller as some users may not be able to push side by side double strollers easily with the handlebar extender attached, because of the wider width of such stroller.
Jeff
Very nice extender. I am surprised there aren’t a lot of products out there to address this. That said, the Cozy Stroll is affordable and does indeed work. I wish the straps to the handle bar were some sort of quick release clamp. It is just too time consuming to remove it for when you want to use it. I actually just hold the very end and gain a LOT of stride room with my daughter on her buggy board. I have very good control of my Bumbleride jogging stroller.
Hi Carleton,
I am pleased to know the Cozy Stroll has helped you gain more stride space when pushing your Bumbleride jogging stroller. Your comments and observation will help others considering using this handlebar extender.
